Austin
Austin brings a fresh sound all of his own, combining acoustic and lap guitars, drums, double bass and violin with soulful vocals - together creating a blues-inspired gypsy shindig. Austin’s performances show a versatility of styles from soulful blues ballads to gypsy reggae. The energy and joy that Austin and his band put into their set is clear, you definitely feel like you are sharing in the fun.
Austin has played at music festivals around the country including Queenscliff, Good Seed Festival, Guilford Blues & Roots Explosion, Melbourne Fringe Festival and the Wangaratta Jazz and Blues Festival.
He has supported artists such as Jeff Lang, Bob Brozman, Dallas Frasca, Carus and the True Believers, The Exploders and Liz Stringer to name a few.
'With a musical gift that can be compared to the late Jeff Buckley and a purity only he owns. One
day the world will know Melbourne’s best kept secret and for me, that is Austin.' Dallas Frasca
'This guy is amazing - such a gorgeous jazz voice and a fantastic performer - he's gonna be huge!' Sarah Howells – Presenter of Triple J’s Roots’n’All
