Upon first playing on the Blues Train at just 24, Lloyd Spiegel already had over 18 years experience in the Australian music scene. Performing, writing and recording since age 10, he has become one of Australia's best-known blues performers. His shows combine acoustic blues with funk and rock to give an energetic, fresh sound to acoustic roots.

Since 1995 he has toured extensively in Germany, Italy and the USA, where he has become a highly sought-after artist on the festival circuit and has played with blues legends like Buddy Guy, the Fabulous Thunderbirds and Etta James.

Lloyd's awards include: Ambassador to the Australian Blues Festival 2005 and 2006; Australian Blues Award, Band Of The Year 2005; Victorian Blues Award, Band/Solo Artist Of The Year 2004; Victorian Blues Award, Song Of The Year 2004; Victorian Blues Award, Male Artist Of The Year 2004.
