The Blues Train - Shake Rattle 'n' Roll

The Artists

Mia Dyson
Growing up in Coastal Victoria, Mia Dyson began playing her father’s handmade electric guitars after finding inspiration and heart in the likes of Bonnie Raitt and Stevie Ray Vaughan. She performs her own spacious and powerful original songs with a depth and maturity belying her age, along with impassioned versions of blues, soul, country and contemporary songs.

Cold Water (2003) was Dyson’s debut album and it was arguably the best debut album this country has seen for many years. It highlights her exceptional songwriting and musicianship as well as the dynamic collaboration she had with Dean Addison and Carl Pannuzzo. Parking Lots was released in 2005. In 2007 Mia will tour as support for Bonnie Rait and later with Eric Clapton.
