The Blues Train - Shake Rattle 'n' Roll

weddings & receptions

We receive numerous requests from brides and grooms wanting to integrate The Blues Train into their wedding plans.

These have taken various forms including:

Full Wedding
TPaddy & Sally Full Weddinghe Age music writer (now CEO of Music Victoria) Patrick Donavan and his wife Sally (pictured right) were married on the Queenscliff Railway Platform, followed by drinks, delicious finger food and entertainment on the platform before boarding the train for more musical entertainment, dancing and the more 'lively' part of the event.

Wedding Reception
PJ and Jacqui contacted us wishing to hold their reception on board The Blues Train. This featured the moving train with great acts and also some roving performers entertaining guests on the platform.

Vue Grand/Blues Train Wedding Receptions
By fPJ & Jacquiar the most popular choice has been our joint wedding reception packages with the Vue Grand Hotel.

These consist of finger food and drinks at Queenscliff Railway Station, followed by a trip to Suma Park Station (25 minutes travel) with musicians. At Suma Park the wedding party have a photo opportunity with the train as a backdrop. The train then returns to Queenscliff at which time patrons move the the Vue Grand Hotel (400m from the station) for a formal reception.

Vue Grand/Blues Train Wedding Reception packages are available by contacting Connie Trathen at the Vue Grand on 03 5258 1544.
