CAN I SMOKE DURING THE NIGHT
You will have ample opportunity to smoke in the open air area of the platforms at the start and breaks/changeovers during the event. You are not allowed to smoke in or on the Blues Train itself. But don't worry, you will have chance to indulge: an hour at the beginning of the night and during each of the three 30-minute changeovers we make during the journey. The longest you will have to go without, is about half an hour. You'll probably be too busy dancing and drinking and partying with your friends to notice.
CAN WE BRING OUR BABY OR SMALL CHILD
Sorry, but the Blues Train is a fully licenced event, so you must be 18 or over to travel.
This includes children and babes-in-arms, as under our liquor license no-one under 18 is allowed on the Blues Train.
We cater for guest from 18 to 80 (or even older... our oldest patron to date has been 84!) and we think the Blues Train is a great chance to have a night out with your adult friends and maybe make a few new ones!
DO I NEED TO BRING PRACTICAL SHOES
Yes! Ball gowns are fine, but you may need to walk on uneven ground and grass during the stops, so practical shoes are recommended. Also, keep in mind that the train rocks as it moves, and particularly in the dance carriage, people can be unsteady on their feet. We strongly advise you to avoid wearing open-toed shoes and stilettos, for your own sake, as well as your travelling companions!
IS THERE AN AGE RESTRICTION TO RIDE THE BLUES TRAIN
The Blues Train is a licensed event. You must be 18 or over to ride the Blues Train.
It is not suitable for babies or children of any age and people younger than 18 are not covered by our public liability insurance, so sorry, but babies and children will be refused entry. Patrons of all ages enjoy the Blues Train
Having said that, there is no upper age limit for the Blues Train. Seating is available in every carriage for those who like to sit down, even in the dance carriage.
DOES THE BLUES TRAIN HAVE ACCESS FOR WHEELCHAIRS AND PEOPLE WITH LIMITED MOBILITY

Security personnel can also assist with mobility while in the carriage.
For people who are accompanied by professional carers, we can organise a discount ticket for the accompanying carer (but not the person being accompanied).
Regarding toilets, the public toilets at Queenscliff and Drysdale station have wheelchair access. Suma Park has portaloos only. We do not have wheelchair-access portaloos at Suma Park Station for patrons requiring these facilities.
