Such a successful regular venture requires a lot of organisation and planning and we have a lot of people to thank for their help in keeping us on the rails. Full-time operations are run by Bay City Event's Hugo and Chris, with help at the events from our bar, merchandise, security and catering staff.
Hugo T Armstrong “Ayotollah of Rrrock anda Rolla" - Founder, proprietor and the face of the operation. He’s a local lad and has been working in the independent music scene for 25 years, notably for his 21-years on radio at PBSFM and seven years as artistic director of the Queenscliff Music Festival (1998 – 2004). He is active in Geelong tourism and business and has many, many other feathers to his cap!
Chris Longmore “Captain get it done” - Chris has over 15 years experience in music, events and ticketing. He is a local lad, who cut his teeth as a young volunteer at the Queenscliff Music Festival. In this time, he has worked closely with some of the country’s largest music festivals and events, in the community and corporate spheres including Ticketmaster, M2006 Commonwealth Games, A Day on the Green and three years as membership manager at PBS 106.7FM. In 2006 he received the Australia Day Young Citizen of the Year aware for the Queenscliff region for his contribution to the local community and music industry. He is active in many facets of the community.
We've had a longstanding partnership with the fantastic ticketing agency, Ticketek. We appreciate the knowledge and professionalism of the national team, including the call centre, agencies and the groups department.
