Hana & Jessie-Lee’s Bad Habits are a Melbourne based outfit known nationwide for their electrifying live shows, sharp lyrics and a dynamic blend of country, rock ’n’ roll and soul. Fronted by Hana Brenecki’s gritty, emotionally rich vocals and Jessie-Lee Zubkevych’s commanding guitar work, the band delivers a modern, genre defying take on country music.
Their sophomore album Say What You Mean (2024), recorded by ARIA-nominated producer Alexander O’Gorman, took their sound to new heights. The record won the 2024 Music Victoria Award for Best Country Work and Double J’s Tower of Song of the Year, earning praise from Australian Guitar Magazine, Rhythms, and more. Since the album’s release, the band has performed at top festivals including Port Fairy Folk Festival, Riverboats, Queenscliff, Gympie Muster, Out on the Weekend, Yackandandah Folk Festival and Tamworth Country Music Festival, touring extensively and building a devoted national following. Most recently, Hana & Jessie-Lee’s Bad Habits supported U.S. country star Nikki Lane and embarked on a 23-date national tour with Mick Thomas & The Roving Commission, sharing new material ahead of their July 2026 Europe tour and anticipated third album due out in 2027.
