Rob Papp is a singer-songwriter and legendary guitarist with many years of experience performing in bands, duos and solo gigs, and as a studio recording artist. Rob studied music at GIT Los Angeles in 1982 which gave him the chance to perform with some of the Jazz legends such as Howard Roberts, Joe Pecorino & Tommy Tedesco. Robs passion is playing the blues, but his style is influenced by these jazz greats who helped mentor him.

Rob has performed at festivals such as Narooma Blues, Echuca Blues, Blues at the Briers, Marysville Jazz & Blues Festival, Mornington Food and Wine Festival, Bendigo Blues Festival and Mornington Blues Festival. He has also performed at most of Melbourne’s premier venues such as Beneath Drivers Lane, Elwood Blues Club, Stingo Blues Club, Hume Blues Club Crown Casino, The Hyatt Hotel, Melbourne & Sydney Arts Centre with Donna McConville & Steve Williams.

During the winter Rob travels north to perform at regular gigs around NSW and Queensland including Kilkivan Smokin Blues festival, Little Rowden Island Festival and The Longview Farm Blues Festival.

Rob is a unique and talented performer who loves to deliver a high impact performance, He loves to experiment with blending traditional blues with other genres such as rock and jazz, creating a truly unique and soulful Blues Fusion sound. With his talent and experience, Rob has won the hearts of music fans all over the country and was nominated for BMV People’s Choice Blues Legend in 2024.
