Thundering riffs, wailing vocals, high energy crescendos, captivating Acapella, unorthodox guitar work and original storytelling are the backbone of a Matt Stillert show

His unique sounds range from soul soothing folk melodies to high energy foot stomping Alt-Blues/Rock, displaying a dynamic blend of roots influenced music.

With over a decade of playing bars, markets, venues, festivals and street busking, Matt has developed an intuitive rapport with any crowd. Engaging the audience, finding some cheeky laughs and ultimately inspiring imagination and passion in the captivated folk.

The shoeless rambler left his home in Adelaide 4 years ago headed for the east coast where he’s been sharing his tunes, writing and recording his album Shoe Boycotter.

In 2015 Matt opened for CW Stoneking, Joe Camilleri and the Black Sorrows, Hat Fitz and Cara and Marshall Okell. He performed at The Gympie Music Muster, Byron Bay Blues Festival (finalist in the Buskers comp 2015), Australia Music Week, and Caloundra Music Festival, and has received a huge response for the release of Shoe Boycotter, from Triple J and Community Radio all over Oz.

In 2015, whilst living on the Sunshine Coast, Matt performed over 200 shows making him one of the hardest working musicians on the east coast.

He released Shoe Boycotter at Solbar on the Sunshine Coast in November 2015, to a packed room. Following the launch he is currently touring the album down the east coast on his way to his home town of Adelaide. The long overdue homecoming will see Matt reuniting with his full band and playing local venues and festivals all over SA, until heading to Canada at the end of May.

Returning from overseas in November 2016, Matt will be bringing his act back up the east coast of OZ for another full tour, whilst still performing his solo act, he will be bringing his full band as well, armed with the arsenal of his full repertoire.
