The Blues Train Story
In 1994, a group of Point Lonsdale locals had a bold idea: what if they held a music event on the local heritage train line as part of a winter concert series?
Needless to say, the event was an immediate hit. A steam train pulling historically restored carriages, live blues music filling the air, and people dancing in the aisles. It was an unforgettable night that marked the beginning of something special.
Little did anyone know back then that this one-night idea would grow into an Australian music institution on the Bellarine Railway, still rolling more than 30 years later.
Why It’s Iconic
