The Blues Train

Australia’s Unique Music Experience

Experience LIVE MUSIC ON A HERITAGE TRAIN as you travel along the scenic Bellarine Railway. Enjoy a fresh BLUES INSPIRED MEAL as you prepare to journey through the carriages and dance the night away with 4 AMAZING LIVE BLUES & ROOTS ENTERTAINERS.

The Experience

All Aboard

The whistle sounds and we are on our way!

A mini music festival on a moving heritage train, this one-of-a-kind experience departs from the seaside town of Queenscliff and will have you rocking and rolling all the way along the Bellarine Railway.

In-between showing off your best dance moves or casually grooving to the tunes, you’ll be able to take in the picturesque views of the sun setting behind Swan Bay. Plus, there’s interval stops at railway platforms along the Bellarine Peninsula for you to rest, refresh and get ready to swap carriages for a totally new artist, duo or band.

Drinks at the Bar

Share a drink with your best mates.

Grab your crew and head up to the Bar where you’ll be greeted by our friendly bar staff. The Bar is stocked with a wide range of beverages that will be sure to quench your thirst. Whether you fancy a wine, beer, or spirits, we’ve got you covered. We’ve also got cans of soft drink and bottles of water on hand for the designated drivers in your group.

Now that you’ve got a bit of pep in your step, you’re just about ready to get groovy and make some new friends.

*Note: The Blues Train is a non-BYO event (including bottled water).

A Great Feed

A hearty blues inspired feast, prepared by caterers, The Wee Kitchen.

As you arrive on the night, you’ll smell the delicious aromas of a slow-cooked Cajun-inspired beef brisket (gf) and chargrilled chicken with tarragon and white wine sauce (gf). We’ve also got delectable Tuscan potatoes (gf), fresh seasonal garden salad with feta and olives (gf), and honey-glazed carrots (gf) that pair with the mains perfectly.  Desserts are served at the Drysdale station (stop 2) and feature a Mississippi Mud chocolate cake (gf option available).

*Note: tables are not reserved but plenty of table space is available.

Four Live Acts

We’ve handpicked Australia’s greatest, award-winning Blues and Roots performers and they’re ready to entertain you. At each of the 3 stops in the journey you’ll change carriages, so everyone on board gets to see all four artists. Each carriage has a different style of artist to take you on a progressive blues and roots journey over the night.

What if I’m not into the Blues you ask? Don’t worry, all you need to know is how to have a rocking good time.

*Note: Artists play a variety of styles withing the Blues & Roots genre

Make Friends and Have Fun

Don’t expect to be sitting in your seat all night just watching our artists, get up on your feet and show off your best dance moves. As the train chugs along, you’ll find it hard to stop yourself from swaying, swinging and shimmying along to the music. By the end of your journey, we guarantee most of you will be up and dancing with the rest of the carriage.

Whether you come with friends, colleagues, your loved one or in a large group, you’re bound to have a night to remember on board Australia’s premier entertainment venue.
