STRICTLY NO BUCKS OR HENS NIGHTS
In the interest of all our patrons’ enjoyment, hens and bucks parties are not permitted on the Blues Train.
Don’t even think about trying to get away with it – we have run a lot of shows and can spot you; you will most likely be refused entry, as stated in our Terms and Conditions, with no refund applicable.
Most weeks on the Blues Train we have at least one birthday celebration – it’s an incredibly popular way to get your friends together and do something different.
Most people simply book their birthday or other celebration on an existing show date. Some people book a whole carriage (52 people) while smaller groups just jump into the party atmosphere and share their carriage with another group.
If you’re planning a big one – such as the ultimate baby boomer 50th – you can hire a whole train (mininum 120 people required).
There’s no minimum number for birthdays and other celebrations, but you will need to BOOK EARLY to secure enough tickets for your preferred date and on your preferred start carriage.
See our Tickets & Bookings page for information about how to book according on your group size and read our FAQs on group bookings and functions.
Every year there’s such a huge demand for Christmas parties and end-of-year breakups that we have to run twice as many shows!
Businesses of all shapes and sizes choose to treat their staff to a night out on The Blues Train – from a small business with a few employees to a large organisation with over 100 staff – we cater for everyone. And the proof is in the pudding: many companies come back, year after year.
We have hosted successful large-scale christmas functions for Lion Nathan Australia, Geelong Otway Tourism, Scotchmans Hill, Quicksilver, Sands Print Group, St John of God Hospital, AXA Insurance, Dzign Diezel Group and Bronson Sheet Metal, to name a few.
Christmas shows go on sale in the first week of July each year and sell out quickly. To ensure you don’t miss out, subscribe to our website for advance notification of onsales and early access to tickets and book early.
The Blues Train is hugely popular for workplace social club outings throughout the year.
If you’re a social club organiser considering having an event on the Blues Train, we understand you’ll probably need a lot of lead-in time to get organised.
Thus we advise you to contact us as early as possible – especially if your preferred date is not yet on sale – so we can put some tickets on hold for you. Note that once shows have gone on sale, we are only able to hold tickets for 7 days.
Some social clubs like to combine their outings with fundraising and we have some fundraising packages available for registered charities.

The Blues Train is a corporate entertainment experience with a difference!
