A review of the 2008 Midnight Train album describes her as “Lucinda Williams meets Rory Gallagher downunder” and is considered an appropriate description by those familiar to the music of Australia’s queen of blues/rock and slide guitar, Christina Crofts.
Fast becoming a favourite with audiences around the country with recent appearances on several high profile festivals Echuca Winter Blues Festival, St Kilda’s inaugural Blues Fest in 2019, Agnes Water Blues Roots & Rock Festival, Blues on Broadbeach and Docklands Blues Festival in 2018 to name a few.
Christina’s new album “Just How Love Feels” featuring 9 new original tracks out now (October 2019) is full of sass, attitude and slide guitar on songs such as ‘Voodoo Queen’, ‘Lookin’ Back On You’ and ‘Callin’ Your Name’ but clearly reflecting some deep emotional content in songs such as the title track ‘Just How Love Feels’. This is swampy blues/rock and country/pop at it’s best.
