Damon Smith is a multi-award Award-winning musician known for his blend of blues, rock and roll, jazz, and soul. With eight albums released in the past seven years, Damon continues to craft emotionally rich, genre-defying music that resonates with both audiences and critics. His 2023 album A Fresh Harvest From Old Seeds topped the Australian Blues and Roots charts and won the Music Victoria Award which further established his reputation as a bold and original artist.

In January 2026, Damon performed in Memphis at the International Blues Challenge after winning the Australian heats, advancing to the semi-finals and becoming the only international musician that year to reach the Solo semi-final round, representing Australian blues on the global stage.

His live shows are celebrated for their virtuosity, storytelling, humour, and heart, moving effortlessly from thunderous New Orleans piano grooves to intimate ballads. Damon has appeared at major festivals including Port Fairy Folk Festival, Festival of Voices, Blues on Broadbeach, and Adelaide Cabaret Festival, and has shared stages with Bernard Fanning, Boy & Bear, and Johnny Diesel, while collaborating with artists such as Ali McGregor and Barney McAll.

Damon is also the creator of the SBS documentary Mental As Everything, a candid and acclaimed exploration of mental illness and creativity, and continues to use his platform to foster open conversations about mental health through music, storytelling, and performance.
