Dan Dinnen plays the blues on harmonica & finger-pickin’ guitar, and he sings the blues with a voice that is soaring, sublime, a little bit sweet and a little bit gritty. Dan Dinnen’s One Man Blues Show is a solo act performed with enough energy to raise the dead, as Dan stomps and taps his feet while playing and singing up a storm. The Dan Dinnen Trio adds Double Bass and Drum-kit to the mix for a full band sound.

A singer/songwriter steeped in old blues, Dan’s repertoire of originals ranges from smoking, soulful blues ballads to juke joint hill country stomps. There’s always a few standards in the set-list too, as Dan interprets the great originators and pays tribute to the masters.

Dan Dinnen was the 2009 MBAS Blues Performer of the Year.  He’s performed his One Man Blues Show on Beale Street in Memphis TN; on the famous Blues Train in Queenscliff VIC; and at festivals such as Blues On Broadbeach QLD,  the Australian Blues Music Festival NSW, Thredbo Blues NSW,  Echuca Winter Blues VIC, Bruthen Blues Festival VIC, and the Eltham Heritage Jazz and Blues Festival VIC. He regularly performs in and around Melbourne VIC both as a solo act and with the Dan Dinnen Trio.

Dan also sings lead vocals and plays harmonica for Greg Dodd & The Hoodoo Men, whose CD “3am Blues – Live” won the Age Music Victoria Award for Best Blues Album of 2014. Dan Dinnen is an exciting, dynamic, energetic blues performer with an authentic feel and style.
