Described as alike to a female lead Rolling Stones, Miss Lizzy & The Night Owls are an explosive modern Melbourne band with 60’s influences both musically and aesthetically.
Miss Lizzy & The Night Owls are a Melbourne based sextet. Formed from a mutual attraction of Soul and Rock n Roll of the 1960’s. This is evident in their original tunes that are lead by the powerful soul vocals and song writing of Lizzy McFarlane, accompanied by Cameron Fallaw on Hammond organ, Sean Vagg on Saxophone, Liam Hopkins on Guitar, Jackson McRae on Drums and Glen Impey on Bass. Think along the lines of Aretha backed by The Rolling Stones.
Releasing their first EP in 2014, Introducing Miss Lizzy & The Night Owls, the band are currently recording their first studio album with singles to be released in early 2018.
The band have a love of live performance with a chemistry on stage that has seen them play venues like The Thornbury Theatre, The Spotted Mallard, The Penny Black, residencies at The LuWow and festivals including Moomba (2017), The Queen Vic Night Market and Yarraville Festival. The members are all excellent musicians in their own right who spend time touring Australia and internationally with the likes of Clare Bowditch, Japanese Wallpaper and The Australian Army Band.
