One of the most powerful and soulful voices in the roots scene, Rod Paine was one of the founding members of Melbourne’s legendary Chicago blues acts, Howlin’ Time, formed in 1989. In 1995 Rod formed the re-knowned 50s inspired retro blues outfit, The Redliners.

For almost ten years The Redliners rocked around the country. In 2005 The Redliners had a baby, barely skipping a beat and became Rod Paine & the Fulltime Loves.

Rod Paine & The Fulltime Lovers won the coveted award of the Australian Blues Performer of the Year (2013).

A dirty post war electric blues combo inspired by the likes of Lazy Lester, Sonny Boy Williamson, Jimmy Reed, Slim Harpo, Ike Turner and Little Walter, the Fulltime Lovers keep it simple – dirty undertones, swinging rhythms and rumbling shuffles are served up to their audiences everywhere.
