There are two menus served on The Blues Train, depending on the time of year:

SUNSET SEASON (DECEMBER-MARCH) MENU

  • Slow-cooked pulled beef in a chipotle BBQ sauce (GF)
  • Zesty oven-baked lemon chicken breast (GF)
  • Fresh seasonal tossed leaf salad with a lemon vinaigrette (GF)
  • Spinach, feta and bacon buckwheat pasta salad in a fresh basil pesto
  • Carrot and cabbage slaw in a creamy dressing (GF, VEGAN)
  • Tuscan pear and roasted capsicum rocket salad, with olives and parmesan (GF)
  • Ancient grain salad of couscous, mixed rice & quinoa with spinach, corn, cranberries & pomegranates
  • Twice cooked potatoes
  • Bread rolls with easy spread butter (GF rolls available upon request)

MOONLIGHT SEASON (OCTOBER-NOVEMBER, APRIL-MAY) MENU

  • Slow-cooked and pulled beef in a chipotle BBQ sauce (GF)
  • Sautéed chicken in a creamy tomato sauce (GF, garlic and onion-free)
  • Cauliflower Pasta Bake with Bechamel Sauce (Veg)
  • Twice-cooked potatoes (GF) (Vegan)
  • Rainbow slaw with vegan aioli (Vegan)
  • Ancient Grain Salad with quinoa, rice, corn, cranberries and baby spinach (GF, onion and garlic-free, Vegan)
  • Pumpkin and Chickpea salad with roquette (Vegan, garlic and onion-free)
  • Mixed green and cherry tomato salad with balsamic vinaigrette (Vegan, garlic and onion-free)
  • Bread rolls with easy spread butter (GF rolls available upon request)

Condiments include a range of medium and hot BBQ sauces, tabasco hot sauce, seeded mustard, mango chutney, sour cream, assorted pickled vegetables and salt & pepper.

Our meals are accompanied by fresh dinner rolls (GF rolls available upon request) with easy spread butter and served on China plates with stainless steel cutlery. Two-ply napkins are provided.

We are happy to provide special meals for people on a vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, coeliac or specific allergen diet upon request, or to those who may have a medical condition precluding our standard menu items.

To avoid any disappointment, please submit any special dietary requirements to our caterers a minimum of 7 days prior to the show via our online dietaries form.

Notes –

  • All menu items unless specified are Gluten Free (GF).
  • We confirm there are no nuts in any of the meals provided, however the commercial kitchen preparing the meals do have nuts on the premise and other ingredients have ‘may contain nuts’ on their packaging, so we can not guarantee there is no contact on our menu with nuts.
