One of the best music festivals in Australia is right on our doorstep – The Queenscliff Music Festival or QMF.

Queenscliff Music Festival takes over our historic sea-side hamlet each year over the last weekend of November. Once upon a time, this weekend was a bit of a quiet one. Fast-forward twenty-two years and it’s one of the busiest times for us locals.

And along the way, QMF has established Queenscliff as a must-visit place in Victoria for a bucket list festival that is on top of everyone’s list. It’s also a great festival to take your kids to – and enjoy the experience of making great memories and family traditions.

Big names in Australian music

Over the years some of the biggest names in Australian music have played QMF including;

  • David Helfgott,
  • the late great Billy Thorpe,
  • The Cat Empire,
  • Missy Higgins,
  • Renee Geyer,
  • Mike Rudd & Bill Putt,
  • Tiddas,
  • Jimmy Little,
  • Rose Bygrave,
  • John Butler Trio,
  • Vika & Linda,
  • Ash Grunwald,
  • Richard Clapton,
  • Ross Wilson

In fact, it would be hard to find a high-profile Australian act that hasn’t headed to the Bellarine Peninsula the last weekend in November to play Queenscliff Music Festival.

The Blues Train is an official sponsor of Queenscliff Music Fesitval

We join in the celebrations when QMF comes to town to help celebrate what a great place it is to spend a weekend at our sea-side village on the Bellarine Peninsula.

A version of The Blues Train has had a presence at Queenscliff Music Festival since the beginning.

You might just see the next John Butler Trio or Mia Dyson or Ash Grunwald or CW Stoneking on The Blues Train Express at QMF – because all four of these acts have played The Blues Train at QMF before they all became famous.

The Blues Train at Queenscliff Music FestivalThe Blues Train at QMF is more of a taste of what it might be like to ride the rails at night, as The Blues Train at QMF operates during the day. The Bellarine Railway run a special service over the weekend, with the trains heading to Laker’s Siding return. Rather than operating a normal Blues Train show at QMF, we fit in around the QMF programme. That way, all ages can get on board and experience the unique experience of riding a heritage train to enjoy some of the best in local Australian entertainment.

We are a proud sponsor of this nationally recognised Australian Tourism Most Significant Festival and Event and a Victorian Tourism Hall of Fame and official Regional Victorian Hallmark Event.

And we are even more proud of the fact that, in 2019, QMF Sold Out in record time.

If you have your ticket, we will see you at the Queenscliff Music Festival.
