Rather than heading to the sock aisle this Father’s Day, give your dad an experience he’ll never forget with a gift of the blues with this awesome father’s day gift idea.

A ride on the Blues Train is one of the region’s most unique and exciting experiences that will certainly be a hard present to beat.

The experience of the Blues Train is best enjoyed as part of a weekend away. We partner with some local providers to offer a range of accommodation packages and recommendations on where to eat, play and stay when visiting Queenscliff and the Bellarine Peninsula. Before boarding the train, your dad can enjoy the spoils of Queenscliff and the Bellarine with a plethora of quality food and drink options.

So get your plans set with Dad for the weekend of Father’s Day, with tickets to the train running on the night of Saturday, September 1.

The Father’s Day Line-Up

Performing on this date will be Anna Scionti featuring Eddy Boyle, John McNamara, the Sammy Owen Blues band and Safari Motel.

Anna Scionti is a singer-songwriter hailing from Melbourne who plays emotionally charged, electrified rhythmic blues. Her self-titled EP debuted at #2 on the Australian Blues & Roots Airplay Charts, signalling a promising future for her career in the blues.

A regular on the Blues Train, John McNamara is a multi award-winning blues act who has wowed audiences across the world. Throughout his career he has come to find acoustic soul and blues the perfect accompaniment for his guitar playing and powerful voice. He is an act not to be missed; he’s so good he even makes Russell Morris nervous.

The Sammy Owen Blues Band gives everything to their shows. Forming in 2011, the band has a love for performing live and sharing their unique sound of contemporary, funky, energetic blues.

Last but most definitely not least, on carriage D, Safari Motel’s mix of feel-good, high energy, original funk, groove, blues and soul is the perfect blend to get you on your feet.
