Here’s the good news, we’ve done all the work for you. It’s a one-stop-shop Christmas party spectacular. Food, drinks, entertainment all pre-planned and taken care of for you.
Our 25 years experience in hosting parties and celebrations means your function will be fabulous and you get the rewards. Simples!
Here’s how it goes;
ARRIVE AT 6.30
Whether you ferry cruise into Queenscliff across the bay from Sorrento, bus it into town on a coach or mini-bus charter, or carpool in private cars, we ask you to arrive by 6.30pm.
There’s plenty of time to grab first drinks at our platform pop-up bar, to mingle and snap a selfie with our historic steam train before settling into your start carriage for dinner.
GOURMET BUFFET IS SERVED FROM 6.45
Our team will let you know when dinner’s ready. Collect your meal from the buffet on the platform and eat on the carriage or in the garden area.
Plenty of choices and generous serves cater for all tastes and appetites, special dietary requirements catered for too. Discover more about our caterers and our latest menu.
It’s a crowd-pleaser full of amazing fresh food and tastiness no one expects to see on a railway platform.
BY 8PM, YOUR XMAS FUNCTION IS ON THE MOVE
All aboard for the best live blues show in town or on a train! Make that four live blues shows. Your group will get to experience four fabulous blues-loving artists, including solo musicians, wicked duos and awesome bands. We hand-pick the line-up for each journey, aiming for a unique mix of styles and talent each time. Two carriages are perfect for dancing, which we encourage!
At each of three stops (twice at Suma Park, once at Drysdale) your group gets to enjoy an interval, make their way to the next carriage, find a new seat and get ready to discover another new music experience.
Each stop, our little pop-up bar magically pops up on the platform with icy cold drinks. Add a coffee van, snack bar and toilet stops and you’ve got everyone’s good times covered.
ROLL BACK INTO QUEENSCLIFF BY 11.30PM
You arrive back at Queenscliff after a boogie, filled with laughter, raving about how great it’s been and discussing who your favourite artist was.
Some will have danced their hearts out, others have discovered blues music for the first time and others found they had the music in them all along.
The party may be over but everyone’s found their groove.
And the consensus is clear: The Blues Train puts on the ultimate Christmas function. Can we do it again next year?
